...the Place Where Music Still ROCKS!!

F.A.Q.

... and everything about Rock Reviews!

What is the objective of Rockreviews.com.au??

Even though rock and heavy music isn't as prevalent in the music charts today as it was in days gone by, there are still thousands of artists young and old still doing great things in the genre. Great rock and heavy albums are still being made and stadiums are still being filled by rock fans around the world. Yet I am amazed at how many fans of rock and heavy music have not heard of a lot of great artists within the scene. These artists deserve more exposure. The objective of Rockreviews.com.au is simple. To be a place where the rock fan can come and discover great new rock music, talk about music and also be updated on news and album releases from around the world. Please support these artists through buying their music and attending their gigs when they tour near you.

What music will be featured on Rockreviews.com.au?

If you visit this website, you know the music will rock. Now there are all kinds of different genres of rock music. This website will endeavour to try and cover as many as we can, however with a focus on the hard rock (ie; Guns n Roses), modern rock (ie; Foo Fighters) and metal (ie; Black Sabbath). This website will not focus on one particular region. We will try and cover artists from around the globe. If it rocks, it belongs here.

Who are the people behind Rockreviews.com.au?

This website was created and will be run by the hardwork and dedication of Anthony Parker and David North.

Where is Rockreviews.com.au run from?

Both Anthony and David live in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Australia.

Why should I care what you guys think (good or bad) about a new album, or a live show?

You don't have to.

Every album ever made has hundreds, thousands, sometimes millions of different people with a million different views. The best way to create an opinion on any format of music, is to hear it, see it and feel it for yourself. Just because we say an album is great, does not guarantee that everyone who visits this site will agree with our opinion. We are fans of rock music. We do not think our opinion is worth more or less than any other music fan. We have no connection or affiliation with any band or record company, we are merely big fans of rock music and simply want to create awareness or more interest in the music we love. Anthony has been playing drums in bands for close to 20 years, while David has over 7000 CDs in his collection spanning all kinds of genres and all kinds of eras of music. Between us we have lived and breathed music all our lives, still attend gigs regularly and still love discovering new artists and albums by new and old bands. Between us we feel we have a good grasp on what makes a good album, however it is our opinion, not anyone else's. If our reviews or news pieces can help people discover new music that they love, then we feel the website is beneficial.
